Arsenal lost Bukayo Saka before the Premier League match against Leeds due to an injury sustained during warm-up – the player felt a problem in his thigh and left the field, with Noni Madueke replacing him. The coaching staff decided at the last minute to add Christian Nørgaard to the squad. Saka has scored seven goals and made seven assists this season, and the Gunners will really miss him.
Arsenal had a bit of a setback with personnel just before their English Premier League match against Leeds. The Sun says that the team’s winger Bukayo Saka couldn’t play after hurting himself in the warm-up before the match.
The 24-year-old footballer was supposed to be starting the game, but then he suddenly felt something and left the field with a physiotherapist, heading for the dugout. He didn’t go back on the pitch, and fans were pretty worried.
Arsenal have quickly confirmed the forced change – Noni Madueke will be playing instead of Saka from the first minute. The coaching staff came up with a backup plan right up until the last minute, and fitness coach Sam Wilson worked with Madueke one-on-one after it became clear that the replacement was going to happen.
Because Saka pulled out of the starting line-up at the last minute, Christian Njorgor, who was travelling to Leeds as a reserve player, ended up being included in the match squad. From what I’ve heard, Saka might have a thigh strain.
This season, Saka’s still one of Arsenal’s most productive players, with 7 goals and 7 assists in 31 matches in all competitions.
